1. The K-Plussa system
In the K-Plussa system, the Plussa customers of the K-stores and Kesko Corporation partners that have joined the system are granted benefits in the form of Plussa points and/or other benefits, based on their purchases of consumer goods or other consumer transactions. The stores participating in the K-Plussa system can be identified by a special symbol visible in them.

Any inquiries, proposals and comments concerning the system and the Plussa customer relationship should be submitted to the Kesko Corporation (Company).
2. The Plussa customer relationship
2.1 How to join
Any legally competent private person who lives permanently in Finland can join and become a Plussa customer. The Plussa customer relationship is personal.
The Plussa customer relationship of the person fulfilling the requirements stated in this section 2.1 begins when a signed application is submitted to any of the stores participating in the system.
2.2 The Plussa card
The Plussa customer receives a personal, numbered Plussa card, which can also include separately agreed upon additional features.
A joining fee indicated in the current price list is charged for the Plussa card when the application is submitted.
A Plussa card with a payment feature, for which a separate agreement is made with the financial institution offering the service, can also be used to pay for purchases. The payment feature can be applied for when joining the system or at a later stage during the Plussa customer relationship.
Upon submission of an application, the customer receives a temporary Plussa card that will be valid for three (3) months from the first purchase registered for the card. The temporary card cannot be used to pay for purchases.
The permanent Plussa card is sent to the Plussa customer as soon as possible after the application has been processed.
The Plussa customer can apply for a personal, numbered parallel card for a family member living in the same household. No joining fee is charged for a parallel card. The Plussa customer is responsible for the use of the parallel card and for the holder of the parallel card accepting these rules.
If the Plussa card is lost, the cardholder must notify the K-Plussa customer service as soon as possible so that the card can be cancelled. The cardholder is responsible for the use of the card until notification of the card as lost.
3. Plussa benefits
3.1 Plussa points
Plussa customers are granted point benefits based on their customer relationship and purchases. Plussa customers receive one (1) basic point for every full (1) euro that they spend as consumers on consumer goods purchased for their private households at stores participating in the K-Plussa system. In addition to the basic points, Plussa customers may be given extra points based on separate Plussa point tables and advertised special offers. Any subsequent returns of merchandise reduce the number of points accordingly.
The above benefits are not granted for tax-free purchases made by tourists or for the purchase of products excluded from point accrual by special agreement.
Buying a gift voucher is not considered a purchase of a consumer product, and therefore the above benefits are not granted for the purchase of gift vouchers. Point benefits may be granted to a holder of a gift voucher when the gift voucher is used to pay for purchases that accrue points.
The Company has the right to exclude products or product groups from Plussa point accrual, or set maximum limits for the purchases that accrue points. Plussa customers will be informed of any such limitations in advance.
Point accrual requires that the Plussa card is presented before the payment of the purchase is made and that payment is made either in cash, with a Plussa payment card or with some other payment card accepted by the Kesko Corporation. Plussa points will not be granted retrospectively.
Points earned automatically accumulate on the customer-specific points account maintained by the Company. When a parallel card is used, all points accumulate on the primary cardholder’s account. The customer can check the number of accumulated points by logging in at www.plussa.com/oma-plussa. Alternatively, the customer can subscribe for a printed points account statement, which is mailed to the customer every three (3) months.
3.2 Plussa benefits and how to use them
When one thousand (1,000) points have been accumulated on the Plussa customer’s points account, the batch is converted into a discount right – five (5) euros of Plussa money – and transferred to the customer’s Plussa money account. The accumulated Plussa money entitles the customer to a corresponding discount in euros for a purchase made at any K-Group store participating in the K-Plussa system. Plussa money is used via a payment terminal at a K-Group store. The payment terminal can also be used to monitor the account balance.
In addition to the above main rule, other uses can be indicated for Plussa points, and an alternative delivery rate or method can be followed upon the customer’s authorisation.
The discount right is valid for 13 months from the last day of the month during which the final points of the batch of one thousand (1,000) points were accumulated. When the Plussa money is transferred to the customer’s electronic Plussa money account, the corresponding points will be deducted from the points account.
The discount right is card-specific and, in addition to the Plussa customer, it can be used by a holder of a parallel card upon the consent of the Plussa customer. When using the right to a discount, the customer must always present their Plussa card and prove their identity upon request. If the discount right is used by a holder of a parallel card, the Plussa customer must have given their authorisation in advance as indicated by the Kesko Corporation.
3.3 Other Plussa customer benefits
In addition to or instead of points received based on purchases made, the Plussa customer can be granted other benefits related to price, service or shopping transactions.
4. The Plussa customer data file
The personal data of the Plussa customer and any holders of parallel cards are recorded in the Company’s Plussa customer data file. In order to define the Plussa points accrued, better target marketing activities with the help of customer classification and develop the selections of stores, the purchases made by Plussa customers and holders of parallel cards using their Plussa cards are registered by product.
A Plussa cardholder can forbid the registration of product-specific information, in which case the purchases will be registered by product group. If the cardholder has forbidden the registration of product information, the cardholder cannot use the services and benefits requiring product information. A Plussa cardholder can also forbid the registration of product group-specific information by notifying the Company. Likewise, the Plussa customer or the holder of a parallel card can forbid the registration of all purchasing information, in which case no points benefits based on these purchases can be granted to the Plussa customer. The total prohibition of the registration of purchase information notified by a Plussa customer always applies to both the Plussa customer and any holders of parallel cards. Customers who have prohibited the registration of purchase information are given benefits other than points when they show their Plussa card when making a payment.
The Company can use the personal data in the Plussa customer data file and the customer information accumulated from the use of the Plussa card, and disclose and transfer this data to firms participating in the Plussa system for their marketing purposes. The Plussa cardholder can forbid the use and transfer of the customer's personal data for this purpose by notifying the Company.
The Company can disclose and transfer the Plussa cardholder’s contact information entered in the Plussa customer data file to update the personal data in a personal data file controlled by a company participating in the K-Plussa system and intended, for example, for the management of the customer relationship between this company and the customer and/or for marketing purposes. The cardholder can forbid such disclosure and transfer of information by notifying the Company.
5. Termination of customer relationship
The Plussa customer relationship is terminated when notice is given by the Plussa customer to the Company.
The Company has the right to terminate a Plussa customer relationship without any separate action if the purchases registered by the Plussa customer using their Plussa card fall below one thousand (1,000) euro value for twenty-four (24) successive months.
If the Plussa customer does not comply with these rules or otherwise no longer meets the requirements established for a Plussa customer, the Company has the right to terminate the Plussa customer relationship by sending a notice of termination to the Plussa customer. The customer relationship will terminate one (1) month after the receipt of the notice of termination.
The Company has the right to discontinue the K-Plussa system by informing Plussa customers of this no later than three (3) months in advance.
If the number of Plussa points on the customer’s points account is below one thousand (1,000) when the customer relationship ends, the Plussa points will be annulled and no compensation will be paid to the customer.
If the Plussa customer relationship ends due to notice given by the customer, the customer must use any discount rights remaining on the customer's Plussa money account before giving notice. When notice is given, the Plussa card will be cancelled and Plussa money can no longer be used.
If Kesko terminates the Plussa customer relationship because the customer no longer meets the requirements established for a Plussa customer, the customer can use any discount rights remaining on the customer's Plussa money account within a notice period of one (1) month.
If the Company discontinues the K-Plussa system, the Plussa customer can use any discount rights remaining on the customer's Plussa money account by presenting the Plussa card just as during the Plussa customer relationship. Any discount rights remaining on the electronic account will be valid for three (3) months after the discontinuation of the K-Plussa system, unless their validity ends before this in accordance with section 3.2.
6. Other terms and conditions
The Plussa cardholder must inform the Company of the customer's postal address in Finland and report any changes to it as soon as possible. The Company sends customer mail only within Finland.
The Company has the right to change the rules of the K-Plussa system by so informing the Plussa customers. Any changes to the rules become valid no earlier than one (1) month from the date on which the Plussa customers have been informed of the change. If the customer continues to use the Plussa card after the effective date of the changes, the customer is considered to have accepted the amended terms and conditions.
The Company is considered to have duly notified the customer in accordance with these rules when the Company has sent notification to the postal or e-mail address that the Plussa customer last provided to the Company. The customer is considered to have received notification not later than on the seventh day after the information was sent.
If a dispute concerning this agreement cannot be resolved through negotiations between the parties, the customer can bring the matter to the Consumer Complaint Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi/en/).
Before making a complaint to the Board, the customer should contact the consumer rights advisors of the Local Register Office (www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/).
