K-Plussa in English

K-Plussa is Finland's largest and most diverse customer loyalty programme, offering benefits to its customers at various outlets and partners.

Plussa cards are held by more than 3.8 million people in almost 2.2 million households in Finland. You can save real money by making the most of the full range of Plussa offers.

K-PLUSSA IS CHANGING

Every one of us is different. Plussa aims to serve you exactly as you would like to be served. This simple thought is the basis for the reinvention of Plussa as of 1 October 2016. We are constantly developing our services to make them more personalised, easier and more rewarding.

The changes to Plussa do not require you to take any action.
1.    You will still collect points from your purchases as before.
2.    You will still have access to all of the same means of payment.
3.    All Plussa cards will continue to work as they do now – there is no need to get any new cards.
4.    A Plussa account will be set up for customers automatically to replace paper-based Plussa vouchers. At the same time, points will no longer be transferred to customers' bank accounts. The Plussa account does not work like a bank account – it is a place in the Plussa system where points are stored for use in the form of Plussa money.
5.    You can monitor how much Plussa money you are accruing
• using the in-store payment terminals when you pay for your shopping
• by logging in to your account at www.plussa.com
• by reading the Plussa bulletins sent by email

The primary card holder may choose to
• authorise secondary card holders to use Plussa money as of 1 October 2016 on plussa.com or by calling K-Plussa customer service
• order a paper-based points statement as of 1 October 2016 by calling Plussa customer service. The statement will be posted four times per year.

THIS IS THE NEW PLUSSA

The more you use Plussa, the better it becomes

Plussa benefits and offers, as well as the Plussa points you accumulate when shopping, are our way of thanking you for your custom. Customers who use Plussa the most will receive even better benefits.

It is easy to collect Plussa benefits when you have access to Finland's most extensive networks of stores in the food, hardware and car trades, as well as stores in the sports, furniture and shoe trades. You will also receive Plussa benefits from our extensive network of partners, including fuel stations, insurers, hotels, restaurants, and tourism and leisure services.

Your personal favourites at personally reduced prices

We want to provide you with your personal favourites at personally reduced prices. You can gain access to these Plussa benefits by downloading the K-food app onto your smartphone or by ordering email updates on your benefits at www.plussa.com/etuja. As of October, you will also see your benefits when you log in to your account at www.plussa.com.  Our journey is just beginning. In the future, we will develop our services and benefits to make them even more personalised.

Plussa from every purchase and even more with the K-Plussa MasterCard

Plussa points accrue from purchases as before. When you use your Plussa card while shopping, Plussa points will be credited to your account.

By getting yourself a K-Plussa MasterCard, you will get even more Plussa than before. As of the beginning of October, you will receive an extra point for every euro that you spend using a K-Plussa MasterCard in all K-Group stores – including food purchases.

The K-Plussa MasterCard is a payment card for Plussa customers that is independent of your normal bank. You can apply for the card at www plussa com/mastercard.

Plussa points will become easy-to-use Plussa money

In October, the paper-based Plussa voucher will be replaced by digital Plussa money. At the same time, points will no longer be paid into bank accounts. If you still have paper-based Plussa vouchers, you can use them any time before their expiry date.

You will receive EUR 5 of Plussa money whenever you accumulate 1000 Plussa points.  Plussa money can be used as a means of payment for any purchase at any K-Group store. You can use Plussa money by using your Plussa card at the in-store payment terminal and selecting whether to use Plussa money now or later.

You can monitor your points and the accumulation and use of Plussa money using the My Plussa service. You can also use this service to authorise secondary card holders to use Plussa money or divert Plussa money to a savings facility. If you do not want to use electronic tools to monitor how you accumulate Plussa points, you can choose to order a paper-based Plussa statement that will be posted to you four times per year.

Plussa cards

Standard Plussa cards

You can use your Plussa card to collect Plussa points, which have real monetary value,
and you can benefit from an extensive range of Plussa offers. You can obtain a Plussa card application form from K-Group's Plussa stores. You can also complete an application for a standard card online.

All new standard Plussa cards use contactless technology. It is easier and faster to use contactless Plussa cards at the checkout: just place the card near the reader, which will read the customer ID that is stored on the card and enable you to register your Plussa points and grant you other Plussa benefits. It is no longer necessary to swipe the card through the terminal. Standard Plussa cards can be registered on the reader as soon as the checkout assistant has scanned the first product into the checkout.

How to order a standard Plussa card:

• You can obtain an application form from K-Group's Plussa stores. You can also complete
an application for a standard card online.
• If you hand in your application to one of K-Group's Plussa stores, you will immediately receive a temporary Plussa card.
• A standard Plussa card costs EUR 8.40.
• The card will arrive within approximately four weeks.
• You will receive Plussa points for your purchases and they will be credited to your Plussa account as Plussa money that you can use.  You can take advantage of Plussa offers immediately.
• If you choose HetiEtu (Immediate Benefit), you will not accumulate Plussa points.
• Your Plussa card is personal.
• Applicants for primary cards must be aged 18 or over.
• Secondary cards are free and can be applied for by family members over the age of 6 who live
in the same household as the primary card holder.

Secondary Plussa cards

Get free secondary cards for everyone in your family. All of your family's Plussa purchases will be combined and it will be easy for you to accrue more points. You can obtain secondary Plussa cards for every member of your family over the age of 6 when you acquire your primary card. You can also obtain secondary Plussa cards by logging in to the Oma Plussa (My Plussa) service and ordering secondary cards under the section entitled Omat tiedot (My Details).

K-Plussa bank partner cards

The K-Plussa feature can also be added to payment cards issued by OP, Nordea or Danske Bank.
Contact your bank for more information.

Plussa traveller's card

The traveller's Plussa card is intended for tourists who are visiting Finland and who do not have
a permanent address in Finland. The largest user group of Plussa traveller's cards consists of customers who live in Russia but frequently visit K-stores in Finland. Customers receive their cards as soon as they have completed the application form in-store and accepted the contractual terms and conditions. The application form intended for travelling customers is in English and Russian.

Traveller's Plussa cards only entitle holders to immediate Plussa offers – they cannot be used to accrue Plussa points. The appearance of the card differs from ordinary Plussa cards to enable stores to easily distinguish the cards. Additionally, the text on traveller's Plussa cards
is in English and Russian. At the checkout, traveller's Plussa cards work in the same way as standard magnetic-stripe Plussa cards.

HOW TO USE PLUSSA MONEY AT AN IN-STORE PAYMENT TERMINAL

The Plussa money accrued in your Plussa account is shown on the in-store payment terminal. Follow these instructions when paying for your purchases:
• Scan your Plussa card at the payment terminal and you will be shown how much Plussa money you can use
• The payment terminal will ask whether you want to use it now
• Respond by pressing YES or NO. Pay the remainder of the price using any other means of payment.
 Kyllä  =  I want to use Plussa money to reduce the price of this purchase

You can also call K-Plussa customer service. After activating the saving facility, the in-store payment terminal will no longer show the accrued Plussa money, so you will not need to select YES or NO on the payment terminal because the accrued money will be automatically diverted to the saving facility.
When you want to release the saved money so you can use it, you can do this on My Plussa or by calling K-Plussa customer service. If you release money from savings by 6pm, you can use it as a means of payment as of the following morning. AUTHORISING SECONDARY CARD HOLDERS TO USE PLUSSA MONEY

The primary card holder in a Plussa household can choose to authorise secondary card holders in the household to use Plussa money. You can grant authorisation on My Plussa or by calling K-Plussa customer service.
